The weather is finally getting nice and its backyard party season and what better way to welcome summer than Strawberry Margarita Jello-O Shooters. They are extremely refreshing, delicious and a great way to beat the heat!
How to:
1) Cut the bottoms off the strawberries to get them to stand – make sure you do not cut too much off so that there is a whole at the bottom
2) Use an apple corer to empty the straberry
3) Margarita mix
- 1 box strawberry Jell-o
- 4 oucnes of tequilla
- 2 ounces Cointreau
- Salt for garnish
3a) boil one cup of hot water, add the Jell-O powder and whisk until dissolved. Set aside. Measure out 1/4 cup of cold water and set aside
3b) Combine tequila and Cointreau, in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Add liquour mixture to cold water and stir to combine. Then add cold lquour mxture to hot Jell-o mixture and stir to compine
3c) Pour final Jell-o Mixture into strawberries and chill overnight.
3d) Salt the Rim
3e) Garnish with cut lime traingles to finish!
