Spa Eastman received an honourable mention from Health Magazine’s panel of judges asked to identify America’s Healthiest Spas! The real surprise with this honour is that the winners of America’s Healthiest Spas were supposed to be located in the U.S.
Health Magazine wanted to identify America’s 10 Healthiest Spas. They first put together a list of America’s major destination spas. Next they assembled a panel of 6 judges to put the finalists through a rigorous analysis. Their criteria insisted on good-for-you gourmet food, fun fitness activities, the latest skin treatments, gorgeous natural settings, plenty of guidance for living a lower-stress life, and programs that help you maintain healthy habits when you return home.
Spa Eastman may not be located in the U.S., but Health Magazine experts deemed it outstanding enough for honourable mention.

The world may not need yet another travel site, but with financial and technological backing from Microsoft, plus a very sleek user interface, a start-up called PlanetEye has a chance to stand out.

The company uses licensed technology from Microsoft Research to power its interface, creating a cool visual experience where maps are populated by images in small bubbles to highlight noteworthy locations.
PlanetEye has made a number of deals with other sites, so that when users find something cool, they can immediately act on it, be it buying plane tickets and making hotel reservations through Travelocity, getting restaraunt reservations through OpenTable or even making an appointment at a spa through WaySpa.

Hotel spas in Shanghai provide an ideal opportunity to escape from the pressures of urban life, to relax and to be refreshed in mind and body.A calm and serene atmosphere, pampering by skilled and attentive staff, and a haven from the ubiquitous mobile phone, urban spas are an ideal way for the road warrior or city dweller to recharge their batteries for the challenges ahead.
Unlike resorts where the spa treatment may be the main focus of a guest’s stay, the programs in urban spas can be scheduled around the guest’s business or social schedule. For hotel guests they provide the convenience of an on-site facility — just slip on a bath-robe and
the spa is only a few steps away. For the non resident a hotel spa offers an opportunity to take a break from everyday life in fresh surroundings. For MICE events hotel spas offer attendees an opportunity to take some personal time out and gain the maximum benefit from their stay. For accompanying non-participants the spa provides an activity and benefit while their spouse or partner is occupied with the event.
